And welcome to a new issue of My Vision Express Newsletter.
We are very pleased to announce the launch of our new and improved website to better assist our clients and visitors. The new site features several enhancements to streamline navigation, as well as more content and product information than ever before.
What's new?
The overall design of the site was improved to include more detailed information and simplify navigation. In addition to the design, much of the functionality has been enhanced:

A knowledge base was added to the website to assist you in finding the answer to your questions. It features an expandable table of contents, index, search and many step by step instructions for the most commonly used procedures.

Cross-links have been added to a majority of the pages. These links will help users to navigate more easily.

Contact forms to our different departments have been added. You can easily reach us by just filling them out.

We have also released our latest version that comes with many new enhancements including the migration to Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005 version that is compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. Migrate Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine 2000 to Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005 version that is compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista operating system and has several other features. Stepping up to SQL Server 2005 yields immediate gains in performance, availability, provides better memory and processor utilization and increased application resiliency for more uptime. User needs to enter the password each time they log into the program In Appointment Calendar the open time slots can be reserved for specific services. These can be setup under File > Setup > Physician > Availability tab
- Service is now a required field in Appointment Calendar
- Calendar reports submenu option has been added
- Frames sold report - added on hand qty, last purchased date
- Orders by Item Type report has been enhanced to show Sub totals by item
- Quick Order - Patient Details button now opens the Add/Modify Patient screen
- Fixed amount discount issue in quick order
- Added Contact Lens Material fields to contact lens order
- Removed number of refills from Contact Lens Prescription
- Ability to setup Patient Type as patient required field
- HCFA for printing modifier is spaced out so it aligns on the form printout
- Added validation to allow maximum of only 6 charges per claim
- Removed VSP vendor id and password from company setup. You no longer need to provide these
- VSP - send provider NPI information to Eyefinity-VSP
- VSP authorization by last 4 numbers of Insured SSN - You have the option to get VSP authorization without entering VSP member ID and policy group ID as long as you provide the last 4 numbers of the insured SSN in patient insurance tab (you can enter the last 4 or complete SSN of insured).
- Added Last Database Backup Time on backup screen
- Settings button is aligned on the printing labels screen
- Mail merge changes - changed date format to month name day number, year, removed first name from physician
