Sales Tax

The Tax screen (File > Setup > Tax) allows you to record different types of taxes, including their description and rate. You can specify up to two tax types for each inventory item and item type. When products or services are added to orders, all taxes are added to the price of the item as specified.

You can setup taxes to be included in the retail price under the ‘Settings’ tab in the Company Information setup screen. When doing so, the tax is included in the total price of the item.  You can also override the tax for individual items in the order. For more information, refer to the Company Information section earlier in this chapter.
