The Supplier/Labs screen allows you to create a list of vendors and optical laboratories in My Vision Express. You can also specify the product types that each one of these vendors supplies. A supplier could provide

contact lenses, frames, spectacle lenses, other products, or a combination of these item types. It could also be a lab. The Information on this screen is used when entering inventory or placing an order.

Go to File > Setup > Supplier/Lab from the main menu to open the Suppliers/Labs screen.

To add a new supplier or lab, click Add and fill in the fields in the Supplier Details section at the bottom of the screen. Make sure the appropriate checkboxes are checked if the supplier carries ‘Frames’, ‘Lenses’, ‘Contacts’ or ‘Other’ items. If the supplier is also a lab, make sure the ‘Lab’ checkbox is checked. To delete a supplier or lab, select the appropriate record and click the Delete button.

My Vision Express interfaces with VSP, VisionWeb, Labzilla, Optivision, and Innovations for electronic submission of lab orders. If you are setting up a lab and it supports one of the aforementioned interfaces, select the appropriate ‘Job Transmission method’. If your lab supports the Labzilla or Innovations interfaces, enter the ‘Lab ID’ as well. If it supports VSP enter the ‘VSP lab code’. For ‘VisionWeb’ labs, enter the ‘Bill account’, ‘Ship account’, ‘VW login’ and ‘VW password’ . For Optivision labs, enter an ‘E-mail’ address.

VSP labs can also be imported by clicking Import VSP Lab… which opens the VSP Labs dialog for you to select the lab that you want to import from a list of VSP labs.

Click Save and Close on the main application toolbar when you are finished making changes to this screen.
