Upgrading

IMPORTANT: Upgrades are only available to customers whose Maintenance and Support Plan is current.

Before applying any updates, make sure that you backup the database. If you are upgrading to a newer version, install the new software without uninstalling your current version. Your data will remain and the program will be updated. It is very important that every server and client workstation is upgraded to the same release. The database structure may be different on the updated version, and upgrading only some computers may cause data corruption.

NOTE: During the upgrade process, a screen will prompt you for the type of installation that you are performing. You need to specify the ‘Client/Upgrade Install’ option on all computers, including the server. The ‘Full Install’ option is ONLY used the first time that the program is installed on the server/main machine. Once you have upgraded you cannot downgrade to a previous version.
