Eyefinity Insurance, Insurance Plan, and Fee Schedule

To setup your insurance plan and fee schedule you must make sure that you have an insurance designated as Vision Service Plan (VSP).

• Setting up Eyefinity Insurance, Insurance Plan, and Insurance Fee Schedule:

1. Follow the menu item sequence … File | Setup | Insurance.

2. Add a new Insurance named VSP. Under Insurance Type select Vision Service Plan (VSP) you must have this designated to VSP. If this is not set up as VSP the system will not recognize the insurance as VSP. For information on setting up new Insurance see help topic Insurance.

3. The next step is to setup the Insurance Plan. Click on Plans Button. Here you will need to choose VSP as the insurance and then specify the name of the plan. To do this click the Add Button then from the lower portion of the Screen choose VSP from the Insurance dropdown then specify a name for the plan. Once you have entered this information click the Save menu icon. For each insurance company you can setup an infinite number of insurance plans and each plan will have its own fee schedule associated with it.

4. The final step is to setup the fee schedule, click Fee Schedule Button in the Insurance Plan Screen. Here you will be able to enter insurance reimbursement, patient charges, and dispensing fees. To enter insurance reimbursement and patient charges you must first setup V-Codes for lenses, lens treatments, services and other miscellaneous items (Refer to Inventory Setup). If the product does not have a V-Code associated to it, it will not be listed under the Fee Schedule. The U&C that appears for an item will be taken from the items retail price entered in inventory. Dispensing fees for the plan will also be entered in this section. This can be done by clicking on the VSP Dispensing Fees Button.

NOTE: If you do not enter your dispensing fees here you will not be able to enter them manually in the order.
