Insurance Batch Claims

The Insurance batch claims screen lets you create a batch file a claims created to send electronically to your clearinghouse.

      To create batch claims:

18. Follow the menu item sequence … File | Reports | Insurance | HCFA/CMS 1500.

19. Specify the search criteria for the claims you which to generate.  This is usually done using date create range and insurance company.

20. Select the appropriate type of claims you want to generate either print or electronic by clicking the corresponding radial button.

21. Click the Search Button and the system will tell you how many records were found then prompt you to change the claim status to the appropriate status and enter the submitted date.

22. The Print Preview Screen will display a print preview if Print was selected to generate the claims.

23. If Electronic was selected the system will create the file on C Drive. For Print Image file is created under C:\claims.txt and for ANSI claims C:\ansi837.txt. Once the file is created successfully you can upload the file to your insurance clearinghouse.

24. You can update the status of all the claims generated in the Update Insurance Claims Status screen by selecting the appropriate options and clicking OK Button.
