The flow of information in this module is similar to the CMS/HCFA 1500 form; each field name corresponds to an entry in the CMS 1500 form like "11b. Employer" field in the Patient Tab corresponds to 11b. field in the CMS 1500 form.

The patient and insurance information that you captured in the Patient or Order module can be automatically transferred to the Insurance Module and finally to CMS/HCFA 1500 insurance form. You can always make changes to any information that has been transferred from other modules. CMS/HCFA 1500 information is printed in the appropriate boxes on preprinted laser or dot-matrix forms. You also have the option to electronically submit HIPAA compliant insurance claims through a clearinghouse such as http://www.gatewayedi.com . My Vision Express provides the electronic file in Print image and ANSI 837 formats accepted by most clearinghouses. Print image is the preferred electronic format.
