My Vision Express allows you to accept marketing coupons and automatically calculates the discount based on the marketing information that you specify here. You can capture the source or the media where the coupon is advertised this will help you in identifying the most effective methods of marketing. You can specify the discount as a Package or Percentage Discount of certain item(s) purchased or percentage discount on the Whole Order. For example, Percentage Discount on Whole Order may be applicable for Employee or Senior Discount where you give percentage discount on all items purchased. A Package would be $99 for complete pair including lens, frame and tint; a Percentage Discount would be 50% discount on Frame purchased. These coupons can have several valid dates during which they are active and they will only show up in Order Marketing list boxes when they are active i.e. valid on that order date.
• To create Marketing Coupon:
1. Follow the menu sequence… File | Setup | Marketing.
2. In the Marketing Screen click on the Add Button located on the upper right part screen.
3. In the Marketing Detail Section, choose the location where the coupon is to be accepted and enter the Marketing Code or the coupon number
4. Enter the Source or media where the coupon is advertised.
5. Enter the description of the coupon. For example, 50% off every frame plus an extra $10 off!
6. Enter any other details of the coupon in Detail Text Area on the bottom of the screen. For example, choose from all big name designer frames and save 50%.
7. In the Marketing Type Section, specify whether it is a package discount, whole order discount, or amount/percentage discount.
8. If it is a Package discount, specify the package price. For example, if the discount was $99 for Frame, Lenses and tint specify Package price as $99.
9. If it is Whole Order discount, specify the percentage discount on the total order amount that you are going to give when this marketing coupon is specified.
10. If it is an Amount/Percentage discount, you can specify the discount as a percentage and/or amount discount. If the discount is both percentage and amount discount check the And Checkbox located under the Percentage Discount Field. For example, if the discount was “50% off every frame plus an extra $10 off!” you would the specify 50% in the Percentage Discount field and $10 in the Amount Discount field.
NOTE: Assure the And checkbox is check if applying Amount and Percentage discount.
11. In the Valid Dates Section, click the Add Button to select the dates when this coupon should be active. You can specify as many active dates as you please by adding more date ranges. For example, you can have the same coupon be active for the first 15 days of every month.
12. If the discount type is not Whole Order or is a Package then the next step is to link these coupons with the products. This is done in Marketing Detail Screen. Refer to the topic on Marketing Details for more information.
13. If you would like to add another Marketing Coupon go to step 2, otherwise click Save then Close from the menu toolbar.
