•      Print Screen:

To print the currently active screen select File – Print Screen option and the screenshot will be printed to the printer.  Alternately, you may click the F2 key to perform the Print Screen function.

•      Printing Data:

To print any data screen, right-click anywhere is the data and click Print menu option. This will print the selected data only.

                       

Right-clicking the mouse key on any data screen will provide the options to Cut, Copy, Paste, Select All, Print and Save the data.

 

Cut, Copy, Paste and Select All options are only enabled when on the editable data field. These options are also available under Edit menu on the toolbar.

Print and Save As options allow you to print the data screen or save the record(s) to a file.

 

•      Keyboard navigation:

 

Ctrl and Alt key - The menu bar and the key fields in all the screens can also be accessed though the keyboard by using the alternate and ctrl shortcut keys. For example, the Patients module can also be accessed by clicking the ‘Ctrl P’ keys together. To access the Printer Setup menu option press ‘Alt U’ together. To activate the menu alternate key shortcuts click the Alternate key. In the screens the fields that can be accessed through alternate key have their alternate key letter underlined.

Enter key – pressing Enter key on the keyboard is the same as clicking the OK button on the active window.

Esc key - pressing Esc key on the keyboard is the same as clicking the Cancel button on the active window.

Tab key - pressing the Tab key on the keyboard moves the insertion point to the next field and pressing the Shift Tab key together moves it to the previous field.

F1 key -          Pressing the F1 function key displays the relevant Help topics on the active screen. It is the same as clicking Help Topics on the Help menu.

 

 

•      Calendar control:

 

Calendar has been provided to easily enter dates. Users can enter dates by clicking on the dropdown calendar icon, automatically entering the selected date in the associated field. They change months by clicking the > and < buttons and years by clicking the >> and << buttons. Saturday and Sunday are marked in red for convenience.

 

 

•      Column Sorting:

 

The data in the grid can be sorted by clicking on column headings by which you click to sort. For example, you can sort the results by Patient Name by clicking on the Name header. To sort in descending order, click the column header again.

 

•      Double-clicking record:

Double-clicking the record in the data grid is the same as selecting the record and clicking Select or Modify.

•      Hiding Search Columns:

On any search screen in the system the user can right-click on a column in the data grid then hide/unhide columns for future searches.  This give the user the ability to customize the information they wish to view when they search their database.
