The Recall Reasons Screen lets you add the reason and the default number of months for the recall. The number of months lets you define the number of months between last exam date and the recall date. Recall reasons defined here are available in the patient module. You can also enter a recall schedule for the selected recall reason. The recall schedule automatically creates a list of patients that needs to be sent letters during the selected date criteria. It is recommended to set up Letters before setting up the recall reasons because under the letters section you can link letters with the recall schedule set up here.
• To add a recall reason:
1. Follow the menu item sequence … File | Setup | Recall Reasons.
2. In the Recall Reason Screen click the Add Button located on the upper right part of the screen.
3. Enter the recall reason.
4. Enter the default number of month.
5. If you would like to add another Recall Reason go to step 2, otherwise click Save then Close from the menu toolbar.
• To assign a recall schedule to a recall reason:
6. Follow the menu item sequence … File | Setup | Recall Reasons.
7. In the Recall Reason Screen highlight the recall reason you will like to create a recall schedule for.
8. Then click the Add Button located on the lower right part of the screen next to the Recall Schedule section.
9. Enter the recall interval when the patient(s) will be recalled. Specify whether the recall interval is in Weeks or Months. Then specify when you want the letter printed out either before or after the specified recall date.
10. Next select the type of recall letter to print from the Letters drop-down list. These are the letters you created in the Letters Section.
11. If you would like to add another Recall Schedule go to step 2, otherwise click Save then Close from the menu toolbar.
