Required Fields screen lets you specify the fields that are required when entering patient or order information. In case of patient, if the field is set to be required and the data has not been entered, it will be highlighted in red and the user will be prompted to enter the field data. In case of order, if the field is set to be required and the data has not been entered, the user will be prompted to enter the field data before the order can be saved.
• To add Required Fields:
1. Follow the menu sequence … File | Setup | Required Fields.
2. Check the fields that are required and un-check the ones that are optional. Patient First name and Last name are system required and cannot be changed.
3. Click Save then Close from the menu toolbar.
