Apex EDI®

Apex EDI®

My Vision Express has partnered with Apex EDI® so your practice can easily generate electronic insurance claim files for direct submission. As a national clearinghouse, Apex EDI's services allows your practice to send claims directly from My Vision Express to payers. Apex EDI also provides reporting and web-based claims management functions to streamline the billing process.

How the Interface with Apex EDI Works

After creating a claim using the Insurance module, you can create and submit an electronic claim to Apex EDI at the click of the mouse. You can send and organize patient statements with real-time processing and receive Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) files in American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Accredited Standards Committee (ACS) 835 format.

  • Generate single or batch insurance claims.
  • Claim attachments as a Medical Electronic Attachment (MEA) / National Electronic Attachment (NEA).

Quickly connect to thousands of insurance payers.

Simply follow the steps below to quickly find a list of payers. You can also enter the payer identification number or the payer name to view a specific payer.

Electronic Claims

To search for payers that can receive electronic claims:

  1. From a browser, visit the Emdeon® PayerList online: https://access.emdeon.com/PayerLists/ online.
  2. Click on the Claims tab.
  3. Select Emdeon Office as the Product.
  4. Select All as the Payer Type.
  5. Select Medical as the Line of Business.
  6. Select Claims as the Service.
  7. Select All for the State.
  8. Click on View List to see search results.

Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) Management and
Electronic Funds Transfer (ETF) Management

To search for payers that provide electronic remittance advice (ERA) / electronic funds transfers (ETFs):

  • From a browser, visit the Emdeon® PayerList online: https://access.emdeon.com/PayerLists/
  • Click on the ERA/EFT/Remittance tab.
  • Select Emdeon Office as the Product.
  • Select All as the Payer Type.
  • Select Medical as the Line of Business.
  • Select ERA as the Service.
  • Click on View List to see search results.

How the Emdeon Interface Works

After creating a claim using the Insurance module, you can create an electronic file by simply clicking a button. You can create individual or batch files for submission. All you will need to do after the claims file is created is uploaded to your clearinghouse for processing.

Costs

As the Electronic Claims interface is a standard feature in My Vision Express, there is no extra charge involved; however, a claim processing fee will be charged by Emdeon as the clearinghouse. For more details please contact Emdeon or the insurance clearinghouse/s your practice uses.

How the Eyefinity / VSP Interface Works

The My Vision Express interface allows your practice to get VSP authorizations, submit claims for VSP and other payers, and submit private lab orders orders from within My Vision Express.  There is no need to switch to your web browser; you simply enter the data and submit it within My Vision Express just once, which saves time and reduces errors.

PMI Government and Commercial Claims

As of October 1, 2015, the Government and Commercial claims feature will be discontinued within the Eyefinity / VSP Interface.

Effective immediately, support for Government and Commercial claims is no longer available if using the integration to process those claims. Please note that VSP Authorizations, Claims, and Private Pay lab orders are still available for use with the integration. All Government and Commercial claims should be filed directly through the www.eyefinity.com website. Please reach out directly to Eyefinity's Customer Care line at 1-800-942-5353 for any questions on how to file directly through www.eyefinity.com.

TriZetto® Provider Solutions / Gateway EDI®

My Vision Express allows you to generate electronic insurance claim files that can be submitted directly to TriZetto® Provider Solutions (formerly known as Gateway EDI®). Once they process your claims, you can get Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) files that facilitate the posting of insurance payments into My Vision Express.

How the Interface with TriZetto / Gateway EDI Works

After creating a claim using the Insurance module, you can create and submit an electronic claim at the click of a button. If you prefer, you can submit and upload claims in batch. You can also download your ERA files in American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Accredited Standards Committee (ACS) 837P format.

VisionWeb®

VisionWeb®

My Vision Express integrates with VisionWeb® to allow practices to place spectacle lens orders to hundreds of suppliers, from within the My Vision Express system. My Vision Express is also compatible with their insurance transaction processing service for submitting electronic claims.

The ordering interface allows you to order spectacle lenses from hundreds of suppliers from within the My Vision Express practice management system. There is no need to leave the application, allowing you to enter data only once.
