Software Acrobat® Reader® for My Vision Express user guides and training manuals, Microsoft® Word for the Letters and Labels module (optional). A database exceeding this limit will need to be upgraded to one of the following SQL Server Editions: Workgroup, Standard, or Enterprise. Windows PowerShell® for Windows Server 2003 (R2 and SP2).

To help your office in the transition process from your old management system to My Vision Express, we offer cost-effective data conversion services that will save you both time and money.

The amount of data we are able to convert depends on the system you are transferring data from, as well as how similar the systems are to one another. Our experienced technical team has successfully transferred data from the MS-DOS® systems of the past to current Windows®- and Mac®-based systems of today.

We have experience converting and migrating data from a wide variety of systems and eye care practice management software and electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) programs such as those listed in the table below. Our Data Migration team evaluates each database to ensure that your practice information will transfer into My Vision Express as seamlessly as possible.

In case of fire, flood, or any other natural or man-made disaster, your data is always accessible through the Internet. Hosted in a Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) Type 70 and Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE)-16 data center located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, accompanied by a backup data center in Atlanta, Georgia, our cloud solution follows all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) hosting requirements, as well as Service Organization Control (SOC) requirements under SOC 2: Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization Relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, or Privacy, specific to Security and Availability.

Data Redundancy / Availability

Database backups are performed on an hourly basis. Backups are archived for up to eight (8) months in time. All backups are completely encrypted and follow HIPAA compliancy when archiving to our data sites.

Microsoft® Windows® Support Lifecycle

Starting Friday, January 1, 2016, My Vision Express will follow Microsoft's Support Lifecycle as it pertains to end of support for their operating systems. This change will affect any offices running specific versions of Microsoft operating systems that are no longer supported by Microsoft.

This means that My Vision Express Cloud will stop supporting Windows® XP SP3 client machines starting January 1, 2016. Support for Windows XP SP3 expired on April 8, 2014, as per Microsoft's Lifecycle Fact Sheet.

As My Vision Express follows Microsoft’s Support lifecycle, we are working to ensure that the machines used by our customers are protected against vulnerabilities since Microsoft will no longer provide security updates on a consistent basis. Please note that for those customers who continue to use Windows operating systems that are at an end of extended support scenario, My Vision Express will no longer be able to support those machines.

SOC 2 Examination

Insight Software, LLC has successfully completed an SOC 2 examination, formally known as a Report on Controls at a Service Organization Relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, or Privacy. The My Vision Express single computer license is ideal for small business owners that only need to use one computer on a daily basis. You are able to install the software at your own location, on a paid host, or via a colocation service.

You or the IT member of your staff are also able to set up and execute your own updates, security and backup policies, as well as configure and secure your own remote access.

With the My Vision Express practice management and electronic health record (EHR) system, you will experience the ability to:
